The ‘Circuito de Jerez’ is ready to host the first three-day official test of the 2020 FIM Enel MotoE World Cup, which gets underway tomorrow at the Andalusian venue. Teams and riders are finalising preparations ahead of the first day of action as they reacquaint themselves – or prepare to get to grips with – the stunning Energica Ego Corsa machines which will be at their disposal throughout the 2020 edition of the all-electric series of MotoGP.
In full compliance with the precautionary dispositions set by the Italian government following the 8th March decree-law, the Energica racing team has made it to the South of Spain for what is going to be an exciting test ahead of the second season of the series.
While the core package of the bike will remain unaltered from last year, several technical modifications will be introduced including 10% more torque and a new battery-cooling system – which is going to be tested by a selected number of riders – along with new tyres (available for the 18 riders taking part in the series) and updates to the charging system.
With weather forecast showing sunny conditions and high temperatures for the season (with maximum air temperatures of 27°C expected on Wednesday) riders and teams will have three half-hours sessions each day.
