Energica Motor Company S.p.A., after several International, European and Italian patents reached in recent years, has obtained today the release of the Japanese patent, nr. WO 2015/052647 A1 relating to the Supply Unit of Energica motorcycles.
This important technical component contains entirely the rechargeable batteries, sealing them in-house. Usually the batteries, contained in this component, warm up: the produced heat dissipates only minimally. Therefore, the batteries contained in the case are subjected to overheating, which would greatly reduce the life cycle.
Energica Supply Unit has been designed to avoid this overheating. The case includes a cooling plate made of aluminum and provided with several through holes that communicate outside and cross the cooling plate.
Energica is the only electric motorcycle manufacturer to adopt this technology.
“Japan is a very important country for the EVs market and is certainly one of our next commercial spot“, said Livia Cevolini, CEO Energica Motor Company S.p.A.
“This Japanese patent adds an important milestone to the great work of our technical department done so far“, said Giampiero Testoni, CTO Energica Motor Company.
