Energica Motor Company, a leading international company specialised in high-performance electric motorcycles and single manufacturer of the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup, announces the start of a new area for in-house assembly of the whole battery pack.
The new area, which has been supplied by Sonic Equipment B.V., a Dutch multinational company for automotive tools and professional systems, covers a 95sqm area inside the current production complex and allows to have an even more efficient area solely dedicated to batteries. Energica is one of the very few companies in the sector to fully oversee both battery production and assembly stages thanks to the deep know-how developed in the last decade. Six highly specialised people will work in this new technical area, and they will be in charge of pre-assembly of the modules as well as assembling the full battery. Sonic Equipment allowed for a better organisation of spaces and recovery efficiency by using extremely high-quality automotive solutions, which will allow to support the current significant growth. In such context, Energica has began a process of further strengthening of the team by introducing 13 new qualified positions in the very near future.
Livia Cevolini, CEO Energica Motor Company S.p.A said: “We’re very proud to announced this new step forward in the production area. Since our early motorcycle projects, we dedicated important efforts in research and development all around and today we’re proud to inaugurate a new technical area dedicated to batteries, for which we have developed an exclusive know-how over the last ten years. We’re among the few in the sector able to govern the entire process, from designing all the way to battery-pack assembly. In order to answer to innovation and growing demand, we are also strengthening our staff on top of the six new personnel addition in the ‘battery area’, with 13 new highly qualified staff members to be introduced. We would also like to thank Sonic Equipment, who believed both in the value of this project and in the Energica brand by sponsoring the new technical area. We have selected Sonic Equipment B.V. as supplier of our new battery area based on their quality MSS+ product offering and their excellent aftersales capabilities.”
