The French GP of the 2018 MotoGP™ World Championship is right around the corner and so is the fifth demo lap of the year for the Energica Ego Corsa.
The stunning, all-electric superbike by Energica will be ridden this Sunday at Le Mans by none other than Randy de Puniet, in what is going to be another exciting event of preparations ahead of the 2019 FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup.
The 37-year-old French rider has two decades of experience on the international motorcycle racing scene across different series: mainly MotoGP (from 1998 to 2014 in the 125cc, 250cc and MotoGP classes), but also WorldSBK and the FIM Endurance World Championship – where he is currently competing.
“In my long career I have ridden a lot of different race bikes, but never an electric one!” says Randy de Puniet.
“I am happy that I was chosen to take part in the demo lap and to be doing so in front of my fellow French fans: hopefully the weather will be kind to us, although in Le Mans it has hardly ever been so!”
The demo lap of the French GP will get underway this Sunday, May 20th, at 13:20 local time (GMT +2).
